We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with a background in biochemistry and molecular biology to study the molecular composition of protein complexes in the mouse brain. The position is part of a European Union consortium (EUROSPIN) studying the biology and diseases of mammalian synapses. Particular emphasis is placed on the isolation and proteomic characterization of protein complexes from genetically modified mice including those carrying Tandem Affinity Tags (see Fernandez et al, Molecular Systems Biology 5, 269; 2009) and mutations that cause human diseases. Collaboration with colleagues using mass spectrometry and bioinformatics is required. The research is part of a consortium and collaboration with international groups is involved.
